8/18/08 - Football Fan Day Scrimmage an Offensive Highlight Film Alabama A&M's offense exploded Saturday night in the annual Fan Day Scrimmage as the Bulldogs posted 56 points and over 400 yards of total offense for the Maroon team. The scrimmage signaled the end of preseason camp with classes to begin on Monday and regular practice sessions set to start on Tuesday.Sophomore quarterback Kevin Atkins showed why coach Anthony Jones and his staff have entrusted the offense to a young man who has not yet completed a pass in a game for the Bulldogs. Atkins connected on 12 of 22 attempts for 316 yards and five scores against the White team defense. Kyle Lacy was 6-7 for 98 yards and two scores after replacing Atkins in the third quarter. more...
