Hali Buie of the women's softball team has been selected to participate in the 2009 National Student-Athlete Development Conference. The conference is hosted by the NCAA and held in May at Walt Disney World. Buie was selected out of a number of applicants to represent the Alabama A&M Athletics Department because of her outstanding achievevment on the field and in the classroom. She is a member of Alabama A&M's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and holds over a 3.0 GPA.

The National Student Athlete Development Conference is held annually by the NCAA. A student athlete from each school is selected to participate in a week of personal development with other student athletes from member institutions.
