A&M Men’s Soccer set for Final Contest

The Alabama A&M men’s soccer team will play its final contest, Wednesday, when they take on the Tigers of the University of Memphis at 6 p.m. at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

The Bulldogs enter the match at 0-10-0 in 2010. The Division I independent program is on the verge of extinction, with rumors swirling that the program is in its final year of competition in collegiate athletics.
It hasn’t been a happy year for Maroon & White, who have been outscored 59-7 in its 10 matches so far this season.

The Bulldogs played the University Central Arkansas Bears, Sept. 29, to a 2-1 overtime loss in the program’s last home match of 2010.

Friday will signal the end of the careers of seniors Abraham Kassaye and Cesar Ramirez. The match is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be aired on the Fox Soccer Channel’s “NSCAA Game of the Week.”
