Women's basketball senior Katrich Williams was named HSRN National Player of the Year it was announced. Williams received 6,083 votes. The Chattanooga, Tenn. native is also the SWAC 2010 Player and Defensive Player of the Year.

Williams had a standout season for the Bulldogs as she led the conference in scoring, averaging 17.7 points per game.  She also led the SWAC in free-throw percentage (.807), was second in 3-point field goals made (1.9 per game), and fourth in steals (2.4 per game). Williams had a conference-best 11 games with 20 points or more for the Bulldogs.

"I would like to thank everybody who has supported her as well the women's basketball program in making this possible," said Warmley. "Congratulations to Katrich, a player who has developed every year in her four years. Getting to a point where she is recognized nationally says bounds about her commitment and dedication."
