The Academic Enhancement Center and the Student-Athlete Affairs Office at Alabama A & M University hosted the Freshmen Student-Athlete Orientation Program on August 16, 2010. This program provided an outline for student-athlete success. 

First-Time Freshmen Student-Athletes had an opportunity to interact with athletes from other teams and build relationships that will last a lifetime. Academic and NCAA Compliance information was presented by Athletic Director Betty Austin, Academic Enhancement Center Counselors and the Compliance Officer during a question and answer period. 

Members of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee challenged the new Bulldogs with an Ice Breaker about the History of A & M. The evening was highlighted by a welcome back dinner and video presentation of the AAMU Student-Athlete Mentors discussing issues such as Being a Bulldog, Time Management, Money Issues, Academic Responsibility, Roommate Issues and Social Events. We are proud to say that our Student- Athletes know what it means to wear the Maroon and White.
