NORMAL – Frank Kearse recorded his second start of his young career with the Carolina Panthers while All-Pro Robert Mathis and the Colts posted their first victory of 2011.

"I think I did well for what it was, but there's always room for improvement," Kearse said in an earlier article. "I want to build off that, cut down on the mental errors and mistakes, and chase the ball better.

In two starts with the Carolina Panthers the former Alabama A&M student athlete has totaled five tackles, four being solo.  In the two starts the Panthers defeated Tampa Bay in week 13 38-19 and Houston 28-13 in week 15.

While in the lineup the Panthers held the Buccaneers to 78 rushing yards, the fewest allowed by the team all season. 

All-Pro defensive lineman Robert Mathis and the Indianapolis Colts earned their first victory of the season with a 27-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans.  Mathis totaled a tackle in the contest and has collected 36 tackles, (22 solo, 14 assisted) six sacks for 35 yards, a force fumble and a pass defended.  The Colts held Chris Johnson and the Titans to 67 yards rushing on 19 total attempts.
