NORMAL – Huntsville native and starting placekicker for the Alabama A&M Bulldogs, Chance Wilson, has been named to the Football Championship Subdivision College Football Performance Award lists for the 2011 season.
Wilson led the Bulldogs in scoring in 2010 with 51 points coming from 8 of 11 in field goals and 27 for 27 in points after touchdowns.
The former Buckhorn high school star recorded a season high three field goals versus Texas Southern and posted his longest FG of his career at 37 yards in that same contest.
In the Inaugural Louis Crews Classic, Chance went 6 for 6 in PAT’s as the Maroon & White defeated Central State University 45-0.
Twice last season did Wilson earn the Southwestern Athletic Conference special team’s player of the week honors in weeks two and four for his performances.
