NORMAL –Nearly 75 golfers and many other supporters of Alabama A&M Athletics enjoyed themselves at The Inaugural Anthony Jones Golf Classic held Saturday at the Colonial Golf Course in Meridianville, Alabama.
Favorable weather and good fellowship was enjoyed by all in attendance.
The team of John Patton, Darin Mayer, Dusty Weeks and Shawn Butler took home the first place trophy with a 56.
The Wells Fargo team of Tom Galbraith, Edgar Gantt, George Davis and Leonard Smoot placed second finishing 56 under.
The third place trophies went to Doug Floyd, Shawn Gregory, Bill Sewell, and Marvin Wesley.
The family of Maurice Thomas was in attendance as proceeds from the classic will go to a scholarship fund for fifth-year football Bulldog seniors.
