NORMAL – Even though Alabama A&M University will be officially closed due to the Labor Day holiday the Anthony Jones noon presser will still take place in the George Hobson field house. Player and coaches are scheduled to be in attendance.
Former Bulldog student-athlete Frank Kearse made the 53 man roster with the Miami Dolphins. Kearse was a seventh-round draft pick in April during the NFL draft. The back-up defensive tackle signed a four-year contract on July 28. Financial terms have not yet been disclosed for any of the Dolphins' signings.
Kearse joins Robert Mathis as the only two former Alabama A&M student athletes who will be on the National Football League’s 2011 opening day team’s rosters.
