Men’s & Women’s Basketball hosts Hoops Hysteria

NORMAL – The Alabama A&M basketball teams held a Hoops Hysteria on Tuesday night in Elmore gymnasium.

Similar to Midnight Madness, the event was held to showcase the 2012-2013 women’s and men’s basketball teams.

The teams came out in a dance to get things going for the 6:30 gathering. From there fans were able to participate in a three-point contest, blind folded maze and other games that allowed the viewing audience to win items.

The men’s and women’s teams then scrimmaged for 10 minutes apiece allowing the Bulldog family an opportunity to view the upcoming squads.

“We are pretty excited about opening the season,” 11^th year head coach Altherias Warmely stated. “We have been practicing a lot and we are ready to play someone else.

“Pretty good night, we had a good showing from our fans,” head coach Willie Hayes mentioned. “I am pleased with what we’re doing in practice and anxious about getting back to it at 4:45 a.m.”
