Hayes looks for first non-conference road win with visit to the University of Evansville

NORMAL – In his second season as head coach of the Bulldog basketball team, Willie Hayes and his squad will compete for his first non-conference road win when the Bulldogs play at the University of Evansville on Monday, November 26th at 7:05 p.m.

A&M is fresh off their second victory of the year with a 103-77 win over in-town rival Oakwood University. As a team they are averaging 68.0 points a game shooting 39 percent from the field and 25% from the three-point line.  The Maroon & White is averaging 36.8 rebounds a game pulling in 147 in four contests.

Junior Demarquelle Tabb leads the team averaging 12.3 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per contest. Starting point guard Jeremy Crutcher is second on the team with 9.5 points a game and a team high 21 assists.

The Purple Aces are on a three game winning streak after a 62-50 victory over Tennessee Tech last Tuesday.  They are led by Ned Cox with 10.0 points a match and 14 assists on the year.  Troy Taylor leads Evansville with 5.4 boards a game.
