Alabama A&M Athletics – Adds Renae Myles to Staff

Experienced administrator becomes first Associate Athletic Director for Business & Administration at AAMU

Normal: Director of Athletics, Bryan Hicks, announced the hiring of Dr. Renae Myles as Associate Athletic Director for Business & Administration/Senior Woman Administrator effective January 2, 2013.

Myles has over fifteen years of experience in intercollegiate athletics. She previously served in athletics administration at the University of Connecticut, the University of Pittsburgh, San Jose State University, and Delaware State University. She most recently served as Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator at Southwest Baptist University.

She is a native of Clarksdale, Mississippi and a graduate (1997) of the University of Southern Mississippi, where she also competed in track and field. She received her M.Ed. (2000) from Northwestern State University of Louisiana and her Ed.D. (2005) from the University of Pittsburgh.

“I am extremely excited to add Dr. Myles to the Bulldog Family,” said Hicks. “The depth and breadth of her experience will be invaluable as we continue our path to excellence in all phases of our department. I am also grateful to the Board of Trustees, President Hugine, and Dr. Rolle for their continued support of excellence in athletics.”
