Bulldogs and Jaguars to meet on ESPNU

2012-2013 Men's Basketball Schedule

NORMAL - The Alabama A&M men’s basketball team and the Jaguars of Southern University have been selected to meet on ESPNU on Monday, January 21^st in Huntsville, Alabama.

The game will be the first of two meetings between the Southwestern Athletic Conference rivals. The two teams will meet again on February 18^th in Baton Rouge, LA. Southern University holds the series record of 17-11 in 28 games.

“Just to have a televise game here at Elmore gives us a home court advantage and is a great opportunity to showcase Alabama A&M University as well as the athletics department,” head coach Willie Hayes mentioned.

“This game will give us a measuring tool of how the conference will be shaping,” Hayes continued. “We will have played five games before that including our conference rival and SU was chosen to finish second in the league standings.”
