Women's Basketball Releases 2012-2013 Schedule

2012-2013 Women's Basketball Schedule

Normal—Head coach Altherias Warmely will begin her 11th year as the head of the A&M women's basketball program when the 2012-2013 season begins.
 
A&M will first step on the court on Oct. 31st, as they host Montevallo College in an exhibition game at Elmore Gymnasium, tipping off at 6 p.m.
 
The regular season opener will be played on Nov. 9th at 5:30 p.m. as Lady Bulldog basketball host Miles College in a double header with the men’s team. The Maroon & White will host UAB on Nov. 12th at 6:00 p.m. in Elmore Gymnasium before hitting the road for games the remainder of November and the beginning of December. The road trip for A&M includes contests against Auburn University Nov. 18th, at  2 p.m., the University of Kansas, Nov. 23rd at 7p.m., the University of Memphis Dec. 14th, and Murray State University, Dec 16th at 2 p.m.
 
Also in the month of December, Alabama A&M will head to Las Vegas, Nevada to play in the 2012 World Vision Invitational. During their trip to sin city AAMU’s opening round opponent is the national runner-up Notre Dame Fightin Irish on Dec. 19th at 6 p.m. pacific time. Also participating in the tournament will be the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, Old Dominion University, Kansas State University, and Texas A&M University.
 
Upon returning from Nevada, AAMU women's basketball will begin a three game home stand. First up is Austin Peay on Dec. 29th at 3 p.m. before opening SWAC play. Grambling State, and Jackson State will come to Huntsville Jan. 2nd and Jan. 4th. Both games will start at 5:30 p.m.  
 
The next 16 contests, will see the Lady Bulldogs face the SWAC conference opponents including in-state rival Alabama State University on both Jan. 12th and Feb. 9th with the first match taking place in Huntsville.
