Mason and Goldsby honored for Week 3 Performances

NORMAL -- Seniors Deaunte Mason and Bobby Goldsby were recognized for their performances versus Prairie View A&M University.

Mason was responsible for 279 yards on 22 of 29 passing with three touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns on nine carries for 36 yards. His numbers represented a career night. Mason was named the SWAC player of the week by College Sports Madness.com and was given an honorable mention nod by the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA).

Currently Mason ranks first in the conference in passing efficiency with 147.88 passing percentage.

Tight end Bobby Goldsby had his best performance on “The Hill” with five catches for 74 yards and his first and second touchdown of his collegiate career. The CFPA gave Goldsby his first weekly recognition.
