Marshall named SWAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

NORMAL – Alabama A&M’s starting defensive back Vernon Marshall picked up his second -honor of the week for his performance in the 7-6 victory over Tuskegee University. Today he was named the SWAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week.

Marshall totaled eight tackles (4 solo), a half tackle for loss and blocked an attempt at a game-winning field goal to help preserve A&M’s season opening victory.

Earlier in the week the senior was named the College Sports Madness SWAC Defensive Player of the Week.
