NORMAL-- Senior defensive back Chris Ervin has earned the Southwestern Athletic Conference College Sports Madness.com Defensive player of the week while Jonathan Dorsey earned his first College football Performance Award honorable mention.

Ervin posted a career high 11 tackles and a pair a tackles for loss to lead the Bulldogs to a 19-18 victory over Alcorn State University.

During the 2013 season he has totaled 30 tackles, three for a loss of six yards, and a pass breakup in six contests played.

Dorsey posted four receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns for a career high in touchdowns and catches.

On the year the redshirt-freshman has collected 11 receptions for 196 yards and three touchdowns. He is averaging 24.5 yards a game with a 43 yarder as his longest.
