A&M Football Player Spotlight Justin Goodrich

Currently a senior, Justin Goodrich played four years of football for Alabama A&M.  He caught the football bug when he was 10 years old and later played for Buckhorn High School.  From there, he began his career with A&M where he started on the offensive line as a true freshman.

Goodrich was injured during practice part way through this season, his senior season.  He still strongly supported his team by attending games and being there for them as he would if he could have finished playing his senior year.

"Team means we always have each others backs.  We protect each other on the field and do what we can do to win the game.  We come together and know each other's strong and weak points.  I have to say that team truly means always having my teammates' backs!" says Goodrich.

Goodrich's most memorable accomplishment was receiving All American.  He was proud to see his hard work, both on and off the field, pay off.  Goodrich played right guard on the offensive line and occasionally left guard.  The best part of playing on the offensive line according to Goodrich is hitting the other player.  He speaks to Bulldogs pride as "doing the best you can at anything you do."

Graduating in May 2014 with a business management degree, Goodrich plans to use his degree and is eager to work.  Despite everything, he still has not yet given up on playing football either.  Goodrich is a believer in Jesus Christ and affirms that "he is my Rock!"  After going through a difficult time from tearing his labrum in practice, having his shoulder virtually give out, and one round of surgery, Goodrich is working on recovery now.  His biggest fans on and off the field are his family.  "Family means a lot to me," Goodrich proudly declares.
