Improvement highlights Bulldog performance at Alabama Relays

Meet Results
Normal- The Alabama A&M track squads traveled to Tuscaloosa, Ala. to participate in the 2013 Alabama Relays at Sam Bailey Track & Field Stadium.
 
Both teams had a good showing, as the Maroon & White recorded multiple top 10 finishes. On the women’s side Cydnecia Wade recorded a seventh place finish in the 100 meter dash( 12.79); and also anchored the 4x200 meter relay team to a seventh place finish with a time of 1:46.07.
 
The men’s top finish came by way of their 4x200 meter relay team. The team comprised of Marion Malone, Dwight Tigner, Kyle King, and Wilson Cortez recoded a time of 1:32.20 for an 11th place finish.
 
The highlights of the meet came from Lady Bulldog performances in the field. Maria Reyes-Ramos took a ninth place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 11.17 meters; and two Maroon & White hammer throwers recorded personal bests on the day. Emma Lee Tigner threw a personal best of 22.13 meters or 72.6 feet. Following Tigner in recording a personal best was Marion Epperson who collected a 33.77-meter mark, a distance of 110.8 feet.
 
The Maroon & White will return to action next weekend, Saturday, March 30th at the Austin Peay State University Invitational in Nashville, Tenn.
