Two Lady Bulldogs named to Preseason All-SWAC soccer team

Normal, Ala- The Southwestern Athletic Conference announced the 2013 Preseason Soccer teams along with the predicted order of finish for both the Eastern and Western Divisions.

The teams along with the predicted order of finish were voted on by the coaches and sports information contacts associated with the league.

Two Lady Bulldog athletes represent A&M on this year's preseason teams. Midfielder, Ana Huertas who received post-season honors in 2012, was selected for the first team, while her teammate, senior defender Amber Irvin was selected for the second team.

Irvin participated in all 17 contests last season logging 1,494 minutes and was instrumental in the Maroon & White's Eastern Division crown.

Huertas saw 1,545 minutes on the field posting six goals and an assist totaling 13 points off of 32 shots taken. Sixteen of those were on goal. The Moniquira, Colombia native posted two game winners and was the only A&M player 1-1 in penalty kicks.

The Maroon & White was predicted to finish in fourth place. A&M collected 40 points and one first place vote.
