Bulldogs disappointed but not discouraged

HUNTSVILLE -- Coming off last Saturday's Homecoming loss to Alcorn State, Head Coach James Spady said the Bulldogs are disappointed but not discouraged.

"We're still encouraged," he said at his weekly press conference. "We're disappointed at the outcome; we're disappointed in being 1-5. Everybody's still fired up, there's still something to play for."

The Bulldogs return to the field Saturday at Arkansas-Pine Bluff. It's Homecoming for the Golden Lions with kickoff set for 2:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on WJAB-FM 90.9 and wjab.org with Michael Burns on the play-by-play.

"You've got a team very much like us," Spady said of UAPB. "They're going through some growing pains. Coach (Monte) Coleman, his staff, they're very professional. These guys are really going to have the football team ready to play.

"And so we're going to have a challenge but we're up to the task."
