History always finds a way to repeat itself as the Lions and Lady Bulldogs once again went the distance in a match that was decided just before dark by the last 2 matches. Alabama A&amp;M&rsquo;s dream of reaching its first SWAC Tournament championship game died Friday at the hands of a familiar foe. Alabama State closed Friday&rsquo;s semifinal game on an 11-4 run over the final 3:50 to end the Bulldogs&rsquo; season, 61-53. The loss leave the Bulldogs at 16-13 on the season, but wondering if an opportunity was missed. The Bulldogs built a 14-point halftime lead that grew to as large as 19 before hanging on for the quarterfinal win over a scrappy Braves team.
