    Sharonne Jones Jamar is a native Philadelphian who earned a full four-year swimming scholarship to AAMU, completing her degree in accounting in 1983. A member of the “A” Club, Jamar served as team captain throughout her AAMU span, and she was the first swimmer to sign from out of state for an AAMU swimming scholarship. She set eight pool records and won numerous prestigious distinctions, among them MVP, Most Outstanding Swimmer, as well as leadership and comeback awards.
