Freshman Clarissa Moore and Junior Rose Corneille were named Newcommer of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week, respectively the conference office announced. Moore tallied 35 kills, 15 digs, and four blocks in two wins last week. The Texas native posted 32 kills versus Jackson State, which ties her with Phyllis Hatie for the record for kills in a match. Corneille logged 54 digs to help the Bulldogs register two divisional wins last week, while maintaining their #1 spot in the Eastern Division.
