Former Alabama A&M volleyball standout, Al'lisa Hale has been named head volleyball coach at Xavier University of New Orleans. Hale, who was known as Kneckie Stallsworth when she played for the Bulldogs and was a two-time all-SWAC selection, graduated from Alabama A&M in 2005 and has spent the past three seasons as the assistant volleyball coach at Alabama State. Xavier began a volleyball program in 2003, but suspended it after two seasons in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The Gold Nuggets, a member of the NAIA and Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, will resume competition this fall.
