Briana Smith, who earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Co-Setter of the Week honors on September 3, played 10 sets in the Betty Austin Invitational, averaging 6.9 kills per set as Alabama A&M went 2-1 to finish second in the tournament. She posted 29 assists, along with seven digs and two kills in the four-set win over South Carolina State.
