Huntsville Country Club
Opened in 1925, Huntsville Country Club has been serving the North Alabama community for nearly a century and is located at 2601 Oakwood Ave.
HCC is a traditional course that features Bermuda grass fairways and Jones Dwarf Bermuda greens, providing a memorable playing experience. The course plays 6,703 yards from the Championship Tees with a course rating and slope of 72.0/127. Huntsville Country Club also offers premium practice facilities including a 28,00 square foot driving range and putting and chipping greens.
Completed in 2020 along with a complete renovation of the driving range, the new short game area features a 3,500 square foot tiff eagle Bermuda grass green and 800 square foot bunker. This allows golfers to work on all short game shots needed on the course from up to 50-yards.
Additionally, the facility added the TrackMan room in October of 2019, a 650 square foot venue that features TrackMan 4 technology, artificial turf and a 225 inch screen that projects data. The facility provides a space that can be used for lessons, practice and playing year round.
On top of the amenities and impressive play of the course itself, both head professional Brad Story and assistant pro Will Smartt are not only both former Alabama A&M players but are two of the best in program history.
Story was the first NCAA Division I Championships Qualifier, Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Individual Champion and All-SWAC First-Team selection in 2011 and Smart followed as a Second-Team honoree in 2013.
