Reigning SWAC MVP Whitney Smith, a sophomore, proved why she is still the one to beat as she turned in a clutch performance against Vanderbilt at Pin Palace Bowling Center, home of the Alabama A & M Bulldogs.

Vanderbilt started quickly and led much of first game until Smith stepped up in the 10th frame and rolled 3 strikes to lead AAMU past the Commodores by five pins.

The scenario was similar in gaem two, and Smith delivered again. Her performance gave A&M the momentum to roll a school record 1122 in game three, led by sophomore, Alex McIntyre's 277. McIntyre also broke the individual series record with a 704 series. Smith, though, was named MVP of the match.
