Box Score

Lincoln, Neb. - The Alabama A&M volleyball season and the stellar career of Alexandria Brazelton came to an end Friday with a first-round NCAA Tournament loss at No. 1 Nebraska, but the Bulldogs have every reason to be proud giving the top-ranked Cornhuskers a lively battle throughout most of the match. Nebraska swept the match 3-0 (30-15, 30-7, 30-15).

Alabama A&M Head Coach Betty Austin

I want to make sure that my players know they have nothing to hang their heads about. We represented Alabama A&M and our conference very well.
Head Coach Betty Austin

Alabama A&M held a 9-8 lead in game one and held the much taller Huskers to just one team block.

Nebraska controlled game two handily, but the Bulldogs put up a strong fight in game three keeping the game within striking distance before the heavily favored Huskers pulled away late.

"I want to make sure that my players know they have nothing to hang their heads about," head coach Betty Austin said. "We represented Alabama A&M and our conference very well."
