Bulldogs Snap Skid with Resounding Victory over Prairie View

The team that everyone thought would play in defense of the SWAC title showed up Saturday breaking a three-game losing streak and destroying Prairie View at Elmore Gym 108-71. Michael Ford scored a career-high 26 points, and Obie Trotter 23 as coach Vann Pettaway rested his starters for a good portion of the second half. Galen Gardenhire connected on five three-pointers for 15 points, and Marcus Jones dished out a career high 11 assists.

A&M stormed to a 12-3 lead in the first three minutes of the game and never looked back. The Bulldogs led 63-38 at the half. AAMU hit 15 three-point baskets on the night and took advantage of 16 Panther miscues to score 27 points.

Mickell Gladness sparked the defense with six blocked shots. Joe Martin and Ford each grabbed eight rebounds.
