Joe Martin scored 24 points and grabbed 17 rebounds to go along with Obie Trotter's 24 points in a 74-65 home victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The Lions led 8-0 early, but A&M responded with an 18-2 run and were never seriously challenged afterwards.

Alabama A&M led 31-21 at the half. Marcus Jones helped ice the game at the free throw line going 7-8 and finishing the game with 11 points. The win pushes A&M to 4-5 overall and 2-1 in the SWAC.
