Bulldogs Remain Undefeated in SWAC Play

Alabama A&M took no mercy on Alcorn State when it posted an 11-1 victory Sunday over the Braves. Belinda Kanda tied the score 1-1 early in the first half leaving the door open for teammates LaTisha Davis and Raquel Johnson to each score a goal on the Braves. Priscilla Mensah scored her first goal of the season while playing forward, leaving the score 4-1 at the end of the half.

With the lead, Alabama A&M continued to pour it on the Braves posting seven more goals in the second half. LaTonya Davis, Brittan Thomas and Alberta Annan all had two goals, while Madelyn Pittman had one goal in the second half. Mariah Kamoga, Christina Igono and Ledile Matjekane each had one assist.

The Bulldogs are undefeated in SWAC play and have five straight wins. Alabama A&M will play away at Texas Southern on Friday at 3:00 p.m.
