Final Stats
Alabama A&M opened its regular season Monday with an easy 73-37 victory over crosstown foe UAH at Elmore Gymnasium.  The Bulldogs scored the first eight points of the game and were never seriously challenged throughout the game.  The closest the Chargers got was a five-point deficit at 11-6 with just under 13 minutes to play in the first half.  A&M was led in scoring by senior Tamika Green and freshman Katrich Williams with 12 points apiece.  Williams led the team with six rebounds.  All 17 players played in the game for coach Altherias Warmley's team.
AAMU built a 41-18 halftime advantage after forcing 17 Charger turnovers. The Bulldogs held UAH to just 28 percent shooting from the field and forced 33 turnovers for the game.
UAH was led by Jessica Russell's 14 points, and Michelle Snow's eight rebounds.
