Birmingham, Ala. - Samford closed the first half on a 13-3 run and built a 10-point halftime lead and held a steady double-digit lead throughout the second half en route to a 67-52 win in the first night of the Sheraton Classic hosted by Birmingham-Southern. Felicia Drummond had 16 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs.
