Final Stats

Alabama A&M became the 2006 Women's Soccer Championship runner-up Sunday when Grambling State out scored them 2-1 in over time. With two mintues left in the first half Grambling scored a peanlty kick against goalie Priscilla Mensah.

With the Bulldogs down by one goal entering the second half Ledile Matjekane, was fouled and given the opportunity of a penalty kick, although it was no good she was granted another kick because of an offsides offense against Grambling State. With the made penalty kick Matjekane was able to tie the score 1-1 and send the game into overtime.

With five minutes into overtime Grambling State was able to score a high goal from 20 yards far right of the goal ending the game 2-1.
