Alabama A&M's reign as SWAC champions came to an end Thursday as Arkansas-Pine Bluff pulled the upset of the tournament in the quarterfinal round of the SWAC Tournament. UAPB answered with a 12-2 run, and the Bulldogs never seriously threatened again.
Trotter's career ended with a 20-point effort, and Martin finished with nine points and 11 rebounds. Michael Ford was the only other Bulldog to score in double figures with 10. Alabama A&M was held to 31 percent from the field for the game.
