Game 1 Box Score
Game 2 Box Score
The home season ended Sunday for the Alabama A&M baseball team. The summary: much like the season, the Bulldogs were a break or two from turning the page past a team in the upper division of the SWAC in Jackson State. Those breaks, however, snuck away, and so did the Tigers with a 7-6 victory in game one and a 15-3 come-from-behind win in game two. Kenneth Townsend's three run triple in the first game helped rally AAMU from a 5-0 deficit, scoring five times in the third to tie the game. Townsend was injured on the play sliding into third base and was forced to leave the game.
Alabama A&M would rally again with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, scoring one run, but leaving the tying and winning runs on base while making the final out. Kevin Collins took the hard-luck, complete game loss on the mound.
A&M struck first in game two. The Bulldogs pounded out three runs on four hits in the bottom of the first inning. The Tigers responded with a seven-run fourth, followed by three, two, and three more in the fifth, sixth, and seventh innings, respectively. Alex Cornwell was tagged with the pitching loss.
