Alabama A&M missed out on a chance to break its losing streak and notch a conference victory Sunday as Mississippi Valley State rallied for six runs in the top of the seventh to complete a three-game sweep over the weekend. The Delta Devils won the third game 12-8 after trailing 8-6 entering the final stanza. MVSU won games one and two Saturday, 7-1 and 6-3, respectively.

Townsend led the offense throughout the weekend batting .600 (6-10) including a home run and two RBI. LaDale Hayes also sparked the Bulldog offense at .556 (5-9).
