Bulldogs Fall at Albany State, but Confirm NCAA Record in Bama State Match

Albany, Ga. - Kara Jerden led Alabama A&M with 22 assists, however, A&M lost its match Monday to Albany State 3-0 with game scores of 30-23, 30-20, 30-20, but all of the news of the day was not bad for the Bulldog volleyball team. The SWAC office and the respective sports information offices of Alabama A&M and Alabama State have confirmed that A&M set an NCAA single game record for service aces in Friday's match at Montgomery. The Bulldogs have been officially credited with 33 aces in the three game match, which currently breaks the NCAA record of 30. A&M was originally credited with 43 aces, but a statistical error took a couple days to clear up.
