A&M trailed by 11 points with six and a half minutes to play and still by eight with three and a half minutes remaining. The Bulldogs held the Tigers scoreless over the final 3:25 of regulation and tied the game on a Katrich Williams layup with 1:11 to play. It was only the second time the game had been tied all night.
The Bulldogs won the opening tap of the overtime and converted an immediate layup as Felicia Drummond fed Tamika Green. Although Grambling did tie the game three different times in the extra period, A&M pulled away and hit key free throws down the stretch for the victory.
While Moss was the leading scorer, Green's effort nearly produced a triple-double. The senior forward finished with 15 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and three steals. Williams also added 15 points. Ashleonte' Samuel and Crystal Malone each grabbed eight rebounds.
The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Bulldogs.
