Final Stats

Prairie View, Tex. - Alabama A&M spotted Prairie View the first eight points of the game Monday, but recovered nicely to complete the first-half season sweep through the SWAC, 65-58. The Bulldogs are now 13-7 overall and 9-0 in the league and have won nine of their last 10 games. Tamika Green scored 16 points to lead AAMU, including a perfect 12-12 from the free throw line. Most of those charity tosses came late in the game to seal the victory.

The Bulldogs struggled early, but worked their way back into the game throughout the first half. A&M took its first lead on a Sade Lett putback at the 4:47 mark of the first half at 23-22. The two teams would battle to a 29-29 tie at the intermission. Felicia Drummond led the comeback with 11 of her 13 points coming in the first half.

AAMU took command of the game midway through the second half, building as much as a seven point lead, and then held off a late Panther charge with clutch free throws by Green.
