With the SWAC East race in the balance, Rachel Sepeng scored for Alabama A&M on a direct kick early in the contest, and the Bulldogs failed to capitalize on numerous opportunities in the first half. The Tigers responded in the second half with a goal and forced a tie, which gives Jackson State the inside advantage to the number one seed in the conference tournament. A&M remained undefeated in the league, but with two ties, is still one-half game behind Jackson State.
