Baton Rouge, La. - The Alabama A&M volleyball team completed a successful 3-1 mark at the Southern Invitational over the weekend. The Bulldogs defeated Jackson State on Friday to open play in the tournament and Saturday swept past Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Southern before falling to Jackson State in the finale. The 3-1 record on the weekend leaves the Bulldogs at 10-7 overall and sets up an important week. If the Bulldogs can sweep home matches over Alabama State on Wednesday and Mississippi Valley State on Monday, A&M will get the top seed from the SWAC East in the conference tournament.
