Final Stats

Brittani Lewis proved she is one of the top players in the SWAC, and Devona Williams showed she is deserving of mention as well as Alabama A&M beat Jackson State 3-1 Friday night at Elmore Gym. The Tigers were picked to finish in front of the Bulldogs at the beginning of the season, but A&M kept its SWAC record perfect at 2-0 and won its third straight match this week.

Jackson State opened with a 30-26 win in game one scoring the final four points.  Alabama A&M dominated from that point.

Lewis tallied a season-high 21 kills, and Williams added 15.  Natalie Rodriguez dished out 47 assists in the win.  Lewis also had four aces and four total blocks.  Williams had five total blocks.
