Bessemer, Ala. - While coaches get most of the credit for the success of their team, head coach Jeff McCorvey of Alabama A&M Women's Bowling team has passed the credit onto his team shortly after they defeated Jackson State to advance to its third consecutive SWAC Bowling Championship game.''The girls have done all the work this week, I could not have asked for a better team this year'' said McCorvey.

AAMU opened the day with a 4-1 win over Southern. The Bulldogs won by scores of 177-155, 198-176, 237-161,166-163. They followed that win with a 4-2 victory over the Jackson State Tigers 178-135, 198-189, 166-155,191-169.

Alabama A&M will play for the SWAC title Sunday at one o'clock against the winner of the Jackson State/Texas Southern match. The game will be brodcast on ESPN U
