Shooting Woes Again Plague Bulldogs, Lose to Valley

Feb. 3, 2007

Final Stats

Alabama A&M lacked offensive punch again Saturday in a 65-54 home loss to Mississippi Valley State. The Bulldogs shot just 28 percent from the floor and missed all 14 of their three-point attempts as they dropped their third straight game. Trant Simpson was the only player in double figures with 16. Jonathan Belt narrowly missed a double-double with eight points and 10 rebounds.

The Bulldogs started slowly hitting just two of their first 14 shots as the Delta Devils built an 11-point first half lead early and held a 38-23 edge at the half.

A&M rallied to cut the lead to seven with 6:34 to play in the second half, but could get no closer.
