Savannah, Ga. - Head coach Jay Martin's baseball coaching career is off to quite a start. The Bulldogs swept a pair of games Saturday at the HBCU Classic, including a five-run rally in the bottom of the ninth inning to defeat Savannah State, 8-7. The Bulldogs beat Norfolk State 6-2 earlier in the day. Savannah State was ranked third among the nation's HBCU teams and Norfolk State eighth in the preseason rankings. Jason Harrison's RBI single capped the huge comeback. The hero is game one was pitcher Bernard McKinney, who took his start into the ninth inning.
