Softball Team Gets Defeated in Alcorn Series, 8-0 and 10-2

After taking the first game of the three game series Alabama A&M was unable to win the next two games of the series. Alcorn State scored a softball sweep of a doubleheader Saturday at Bulldog Field.

The Braves swept the Bulldogs 8-0 in the first game. With the score 8-0 entering the bottom of the fifth in the second game, Patrice Betts scored one run followed by a run by LaTonya Davis leaving the score 8-2. Alcorn State won the last game in six innings posting a final score of 10-2. The Bulldogs managed just two hits in the first game, and eight hits in the second game.

The Bulldogs will face Prairie View A&M at home Friday, March 16 at two o'clock.
