March 4, 2007

Final Stats

Alabama A&M spotted Jackson State an early four-run lead Sunday, then came back to take the lead in the middle innings, but wound up falling just short in a 7-6 loss. The Bulldogs rebounded with four runs in the third to tie the score. Wigberto Flores had the big hit in the inning, and A&M took the lead an inning later on a tape-measure home run by Myron Clark. The Bulldogs held the 5-4 lead until the sixth when the Tigers tied it and then took the lead for good with two runs in the seventh. A&M responded with a single run in the seventh and threatened with two runners in scoring position in the eighth, but failed to score.
