Norman, Okla. - Without two of its best players and up against some stiff competition from the Big XII Conference, Alabama A&M's women's soccer team struggled to an 8-0 shutout loss Friday in the season opener.

Alabama A&M is missing the nation's leading scorer in Belinda Kanda and top defender Patricia Ofori as both are playing in the Women's World Cup for their native Ghana.

The Sooners outshot the Bulldogs 31-3 on the night.
